Ghanaian voices on #blacklivesmatter

We stand with our brothers, kith and kin in America. These times are difficult and challenging. We hope that the unfortunate and tragic death of George Floyd will inspire the U. S and the world in tackling racism and discrimination. A great number of Ghanaians live in America and other foreign countries. Therefore, what is happening in the world affects us greatly. Similarly, other Africans living in the diaspora also suffer the deep rooted racism.

We really don’t know who will be next. Is it our fathers, mothers, uncles, aunties, brothers, sisters, or friends? They are bread winners for their families. in other words, their families not only suffer a great emotional pain but also socio-economic disadvantage. Furthermore, Nobody deserves to be killed like this.

This promts us in the long run. Therefore, we want to join hands to bring down the curtains of the great virus like this which is Racism.
